SESSION CLASSES

TOT & ME (Walking to Age 3)

Tot & Me classes run in 8-week sessions.
Bond with your little one and build relationships with other families during this creative, explorative dance class. Tots will explore imaginative dance concepts learning body awareness, recognition of shapes, counting, numbers, colours, music and emotions.

LITTLE TOTS (Ages 3-5)

Our Little Tot classes run in 8-week sessions. Little Tots who participate in several 8-week sessions through out our dance season are given an opportunity to join our final “Performance Session”.  Our Performance Session begins at the end of April/beginning of May and prepares our Little Tots for their performance in our June recital.

BEATS & TWIRLS 
Little Tots get the best of both worlds with this exciting Ballet/Hip Hop combo session! The first four classes are an introduction to Ballet followed by four classes of Hip Hop exploration. – Not applicable for Performance Session

LITTLE TOTS BALLET 
Little Tots indulge in the enchanting practice of Ballet while developing foundational technique, acute body awareness, imagery in movement, classroom etiquette, personal independence, self-confidence and so much more!

LITTLE TOTS HIP HOP 
Little Tots live it up in dance class while developing foundational grooves, imperative body shapes, awareness of beats and counts, classroom etiquette, personal independence, self-confidence and so much more!

LITTLE TOTS ACRO
Following the ADTA’s KinderAcro Program, our students develop strong foundational skills, knowledge base and appreciation of AcroDance in a safe, challenging and very fun environment! Little Tots develop gross and fine-motor skills and control. They learn introductory Acro body shapes and tricks while developing kinaesthetic awareness. At the same time, children will learn how to be in a class and develop their focus, listening and co-operative skills.

 FULL-SEASON CLASSES

Our regular dance program runs from September to June for school-age children and teens. We offer training in Acro, Ballet & Pointe, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Jazz along with additional Stretch-Strength-Technique classes (SST), Tap and more.

PETITE (Ages 5-7)
Acro – Ballet – Hip Hop – Jazz – Tap

JUNIOR (Ages 8-11)
Acro – Ballet – Contemporary Lyrical – Hip Hop – Jazz – SST – Yoga for Dancers

INTERMEDIATE (Ages 11+)
Acro – Ballet – Contemporary Lyrical – Hip Hop – Jazz – Pre-Pointe – Pointe – SST – Yoga for Dancers

SENIOR (Ages 14+)
Acro – Ballet – Contemporary Lyrical – Hip Hop – Jazz – Pre-Pointe – Pointe – SST – Yoga for Dancers

ADULT CLASSES (Ages 18+)

Adult classes run for 60 minutes, once a week, for four and eight week sessions. Adult students may have the option to perform in our year-end recital if they register for our final, session of the season. See below for current class offerings. SHiNE DANCE FITNESS
SHiNE Dance Fitness brings original routines to life using hit music and choreography for all-abilities. Rooted in jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, this workout gives you a creative outlet to escape from daily stress. Each class includes the perfect balance of high cardio and toning to ensure you receive a full-body workout with real results. SHiNE is a mood-lifting experience that leaves you feeling capable, confident, and connected to a supportive community.

SHiNE LIGHT
SHiNE LIGHT is a branch of SHiNE Dance Fitness specializing in low-impact and simplified choreography. SHiNE LIGHT uses all the same routines you find in SHiNE, but we reduce impact, increase stability and modify the moves to meet your needs as a student. It’s a mood-lifting, confidence-boosting experience for anyone looking for a more inclusive approach to dance and fitness. We believe everyone deserves the FUN that dance provides. Join us! UPLIFT STRENGTH FITNESS
This super fun and powerfully effective program is choreographed to iconic music and will leave you feeling strong and confident. Each class begins with a cardio warm-up and transitions to standing routines with equipment, alternating between upper and lower body. A balance track is included before transitioning to the mat. We complete the workout with routines for the core, booty, abs, and chest and a cool down with deep stretching.
